The Ministries of the church are teams that envision, plan and carry out the ministries and programs of the church and its missions

The Ministry Coordination Board is comprised of chairs of all Ministries and Committees. It meets monthly to plan and develop the ministries of the church

Ministry of Christian Education

Christian Education is a journey of spiritual formation for all ages

- Rotational Sunday School Program

- Teen spiritual enrichment Programs, faith discussions and exploration.

- Adult Christian Education/Spiritual formation opportunities

- Family and community special events for community building and spiritual

enrichment.

- Church library with books, videos and DVDs for all ages

Ministry of Christian Fellowship provides opportunities for community building in and out of the church. Our outings always include food and fellowship, such as picnics, Winter Ball, game nights, Ash Wednesday potluck and more. Meets every other month but more frequently prior to one of our events.

Ministry of Christian Mission offers the opportunity to reach out beyond family and friends and touch the lives of others, especially those in need. Through giving to the larger community, the nation and the world one discovers an additional dimension to their spiritual growth. Being involved in mission will open your mind and your heart.

Ministry of Christian Witness in Society strives to raise awareness of issues of social justice and to be agents of advocacy. The Still Speaking God calls us to respond to contemporary issues in our society, where there is injustice, oppression and violence. We encourage individuals and groups within the church to act on their Christian beliefs.

Ministry of Congregational Care extends loving hands and hearts by:

- Reaching outward to the homebound.

- Reaching inward to the active members.

- Reaching outward to the community.

- Reaching inward to those searching for more in their church family.

Ministry of Evangelism and Membership sets goals and strategies for the program of evangelism and membership of the church. Assist the Ministers in recruiting, orienting and assimilating new members. Contact inactive members to encourage their active participation.

Ministry of the First Congregational Learning Center, Preschool and Childcare, created in the early 1960’s, oversees the operation of our preschool, kindergarten and childcare programs.

Ministry of Stewardship lifts up the ongoing importance of the faithful management of God’s gifts to us throughout the year and encourages us to respond in giving of our finances, time and service to the church. The primary focus of this ministry is to organize and implement the fall stewardship campaign.

Ministry of Worship, Arts and Spiritual Life (WASL) is responsible for the over view of all aspects of the worship services and music programs, including, but not limited to: music, Communion, chancel beautification, audio-visual, and Continental Breakfast.

The Church Cabinet monitors and supports the daily operations of the congregation.

Leadership Committee discovers and develops Christian leaders from the Congregation. Acts as the Nominating Committee for the elected positions of the Congregation. Invites every member of the church who is able to participate in at least one ministry each year.

Auditing Committee monitors the financial procedures of the church and recommends improvements to the Cabinet and Ministry Coordination Board. Examines the accounts of the church and makes an annual report to the Church Cabinet.

Building and Grounds Committee oversees and prioritizes the maintenance of the building and outside grounds. Coordinates spring and fall church workdays. Handles unexpected maintenance issues and contracted service reviews.

Endowment Committee manages the investment of the assets of the Church Endowments, in accord with the current Resolution of Trust Declaration. Provides an accounting to the Cabinet of the investments and their returns

Finance and Budget Committee is responsible for the fiscal management of the church, and to be good stewards of our members' financial contributions. This includes budget planning, management of donations, and monitoring expenses of the church office, ministries and committees.The Finance & Budget Committee works closely with the church treasurer and bookkeeper, and meets monthly to review our financial status.

Personnel Committee is responsible to develop, design, refine, propose, establish, and implement the personnel practice and procedures of our church, and advocate, support and assist our Ministers, Congregation, and support staff.
