Men’s Summer DAY Retreat

Sat., Aug 22nd at 11 a.m., Pilgrim Park, Princeton, IL

We have revamped our retreat, understanding that a lot of folks may not have been able to leave/take a day off on Friday, or were worried about missing the Kane County Cougars all-church baseball game Friday night. We have adjusted the Men’s Retreat to an All-Day Event on Saturday, August 22 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

We will meet in the church parking lot and head to Pilgrim Park Camp in Princeton IL. The retreat will focus on living as men of faith with the many directions we are pulled and pressures from within and without in our day-to-day lives. There will be time for discussion, camaraderie, and nature walks. Lunch and Dinner will be included in the cost of $45 per person.

Hope the revamped game plan enables you to join our group! We look forward to seeing you there. Sign up online today, or with the church office or with Pastor Scott.

Collect Signatures for Downers Grove Township 708 Community Mental Health Board Petition

Multiple events throughout the summer

We are in the FINAL PUSH to collect the last 2000 of the needed 5000 signatures to get a resolution on the November 2026 ballot, and we need your help. Getting just 5-10 signatures will help!

Sign up for an event and time where you can work with others to get signatures – farmer’s markets, races, summer concerts in the park, festivals, fireworks events etc. This is a fun way to get signatures and meet people. Mental health needs are bipartisan, and signers are generally very positive. More details are available at AdvocateFor708.org.

You can print all the documents yourself to make your own clipboard packet from this google file so you have everything you need. Signed petitions need to be notarized and can be dropped off to Mimi Doll or the DG Township Democrats office.

Let’s do this for Downers Grove and the whole township!

Downers Grove Township Programs for Seniors
